SESSION 1
Internationalization of Business Incubation

The markets are global and the boundaries are shrinking. The incubators should also have a global focus in order to accelerate their growth. Hence, It is essential for incubators to have linkages with other incubators and support agencies abroad to provide knowledge, information and also have access to soft launch pads if needed. This session will focus on experiences of incubators who attempted such activities in the past and will provide ample inputs in this direction.

SESSION 2
Different Models of Incubation in Asia
The incubators have several common features though they are from different communities, cultures and demographics. There is a need for incubation professionals to understand different models and to adopt good practices from other models to the local environment. This session will also provide ample scope for knowledge and information sharing.

SESSION 3
Building Linkages with support network for Incubation
Like internet, Incubators are also part of a network of networks. Hence, the strong linkages with local, national and international support agencies will help Incubators in their efforts to become self-sustainable and also provide several opportunities to the clients. This session will focus on schemes of some of the support systems.

SESSION 4

Presentation on VITTBI and infoDev project activities. Discussion on creating a knowledge platform.

SESSION 1
Assessing the needs of the Incubator Clients:
The success of any incubation program depends on the success of its clients. With requirements of clients becoming increasingly complex, it is essential for the Incubator professionals to take stock of the situation periodically and also learn from other practitioners. This session will focus on understanding some of the key challenges in assessing the needs of incubatees and identifying tools that make clients successful.

SESSION 2
Venture Finance: Myths and realities
The Venture Finance agencies constantly scout for good ideas. Incubators have clients working on good ideas. However, the match making is a tough job from the incubators’ perspective. This session will focus on some of the key issues in this area.

SESSION 3
A discussion through a workshop on ‘Creating a Knowledge platform’ for the benefit of entrepreneurs, Incubators and other stakeholders. One specific exercise will be to recommend the methods of collecting, facilitating inflow and outflow of information from the project portal (www.knowledgebiz.org).
